Eesti Viipekeele Selts korraldab sel aastal esimest korda eesti viipekeele temaalist veebikonverentsi.

Konverentsil räägime eesti viipekeele teaduslikust taustast. Konverentsi eesmärk on selgitada inimestele eesti viipekeele uuringuid ja teaduslikke lähenemisi. Oleme esinema kutsunud ka ülikooli doktorikraadiga (PhD) viipekeelse kurdi Pia Simper-Alleni, kes töötab Stockholmi ülikoolis. Samuti teeb konverentsil ettekande Liivi Liiholm, kes on esimene eesti viipekeele alal doktorikraadi omandanud inimene.

Üritus toimub 27. novembril kell 12.30–15.00 ning tõlgitakse rahvusvahelisse viiplemisse ja eesti keelde.

The Estonian Sign Language Association is organizing the first virtual Estonian Sign Language conference. At the event we will discuss the academic background of Estonian Sign Language.

The goal of the conference is to explain researches and scientific approaches in the field of Estonian Sign Language studies. Our guest speaker is Pia Simper-Allen – a Deaf person with a PhD who works in Stockholm University. Also we have invited Liivi Liiholm, who was the first person to earn a PhD on the subject of Estonian Sign Language.

The event is taking place on the 27th of November at 12.30-15.00 and it is going to be interpreted into International Signing and Estonian Language.
